David has been a graphic designer ever since leaving art school in 1967, working in a number of London agencies before having his own business in Cullompton Devon before being appointed Design Director of an international non fiction publishing house for the last twenty five years of his career.
He rowed in a gig crew at school and has done plenty of small boat sailing and canoeing since. After a brief flirtation with potholing, he took up rock climbing when he was at college and has climbed all over the UK and in Arctic Norway. After a serious fall twenty years ago, when it looked as if he might not climb again, he took up flying.
His abiding passion, however, has always been writing. He has written poetry ever since he was at college, spending time with a variety of poetry groups from Nottingham to Blandford in Dorset. He published a small collection in 1995 which is now sadly out of print. Currently putting the finishing touches to a novel with a strong rock climbing element, David is also working on a sequel to 'A Well Kept Secret' and a collection of short stories.
