A global flu pandemic has reduced the planet’s population to a level not seen for more than two thousand years. There is no more oil, no more cars, buses or lorries, no more aircraft and no more massive ships crossing the oceans. The world is a much quieter place. Climate change and the reversal of the Gulf Steam has brought flooding and extreme weather to South West England where two groups of survivors live very different lives.
Jeni MacIntyre, a doctor, lives within the Autonomous City State of Bristol, a high tech domed fortress, while Luke Knowles lives a simpler existence as a Community shepherd a few miles to the south. Their paths are about to cross in a series of events that will dramatically change both their lives and the future of mankind.
