L. L. Shute was born and raised in southern New Jersey.

Graduated from Paulsboro High School and Salem Community College.

Moved to West Virginia for retirement in 2013.

L. L. Shute lives in the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia

with her dog Tara.

She finds that living in such beautiful surroundings inspires her

creativity and imagination thus she started writing books during

her retirement
