Danielle Spaar was born in 1976. Her dad is Irish/Italian and her mom is Irish/English. So growing up, her house was full of loud talking, pranks, watching football, and music always being played. Her little brother, by 7 years, was born with a hole in his heart, and also got diagnosed with leukemia at age 3. Her older sister by 6 years was told to be in charge, while Danielle’s parents learned to live at Boston Mass General Hospital. Being a middle child, Danielle learned quickly to be heard, you’ve got to talk loud, and if you want something done you’d better do it yourself. Her brother went into remission and lived on to be a healthy man married as of 2020. Until ninth grade she lived in New England and then her family moved to Minnesota. She graduated from Aveda wellness Center in 1995 and promptly left MN, to join her family who had moved to VA. IN 1997, she married her husband Rick Spaar from Winchester VA and in 2000 she had her first child , Taylor Nicole. At the end of 2000, Danielle, Rick and Taylor moved back to MN. As a mom, she started working from her home salon and kept busy running after a very energetic daughter. In 2004, Taylor got a little brother Logan Scott. Both kids had big personalities that kept Danielle on her toes. When Logan was four, he wanted his mom to make up stories for bedtime reading. So Danielle came up with Logan Scott Files. Each night she would make up on the fly, an adventure for Logan to get into. In 2012, Danielle’s mom got diagnosed with breast cancer. In 2016, Danielle herself, got diagnosed with breast cancer stage 3. During treatment her husband lost his job. After a double masechtomy, Chemo and radiation she recovered. It wasn’t until the quarantine of 2020, that she decided it was a good time to self publish her Logan Scott Files! Taylor was married and Logan was 16 and pretty independent. So, used to a crazy busy schedule, she had to keep her self busy and decided to start her career of writing children early chapter stories. And the rest is history.
